The difference is not intensity. Automotivo is built around a kick that is a pitched instrument — it glides, it has a tail, it carries the harmony. The four decisions that make it automotivo

Pro tips you can actually hear
Name the glide direction. pitch glide down and pitch glide up are audibly different kicks. "Glide" alone leaves it to the model, and it will usually pick up, which reads as euphoric rather than heavy.
One note in the bass is a feature. If the kick is tuned, a moving bass line fights it for the same frequency and the same harmonic role. 808 minimal one note locked to kick sounds bigger than a busy line, not smaller.

Almost always because the prompt described the kick's character (hard, distorted, heavy) instead of its motion. The glide is pitch movement over time; if you do not state it, no amount of distortion produces it.
